Cleaning your window glass

Windows are crucial but often overlooked feature of a home. This cleaning guide will help you to take care of your newly installed windows or replaced ones:

• Spray a considerable amount of glass cleaner (usually a solution of 90% water and 10% vinegar) on the glass, then clean with a lint-free cloth or towel. Never use abrasive cleaners or strong chemicals.

• Apply a small quantity of denatured alcohol or warmed vinegar to a clean, dry cloth to remove tough stains like dried paints and sealant from window glass. Gently scrape the surface with a razor blade or scrub the surface if required.

• To remove adhesives, apply glass cleaner to a clean, wet cloth and scrub gently to remove markings from the glass.
